Compulsive, endearment
We blindly judge the unknown
Shielded and secure, under a mainframe veil
A digital Colossus blotches the sun
Compelled with technology, we seat ourselves
We are the gears in the apparatus
The catalyst
Shackled within the grid of arenas
We fight, we lose
United by perjury, false sense of entitlement
Spouting beliefs and opinions, misled progress
Offering moral sacrifice, to the great one in the sky
We are the gears in the apparatus
Chaos erupts, a battle of half wits
A populous distracted by this trivial feud
The beast rises towards the sun
In the absence of light, we cower in fear
What have we done
Feeding the avarice that condemns our souls
The churning black sea consumes the land
With no justice served, all creation halts
Unequivocal portal of downfall
What have we done
We are the gears in the apparatus
Lacking acumen, we accept our new god
I dig this album so much, definitely a keeper. Subtly and masterfully mixing death metal subgenres, backed with an over the top production. They're true professionals. Can't wait for their next release! doive
I bought the digital version and after a few listens I realised I hadn't paid enough, so I bought the CD from Transcending Obscurity. Effing great. jousterjim
Serious aficionado level Prog/Tech Death.
The unique colors they bring to this record are not really heard elsewhere. They have forged their own sound and it’s totally badass. I guess The Faceless could be mentioned for reference of similar styles/tones.
They care for the song craft as much as the tasty Tech and Leads. It really is like everyone is saying....a perfect Metal experience. Salami Dick Death
Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
